METHOD OF OPERATION of the E.L.N. Dosing Valve
Fuel is drawn through the inner chamber of the valve, on demand, when the fuel pump is activated. A mechanical sensor detects and determines the pulsed fuel flow, which in turn opens a factory calibrated jet. This delivers a precise and preset amount of additive to the fuel as it passes through the valve chamber. When fuel is no longer required, a needle automatically closes the jet and additive flow stops.
An integral ball valve ensures no air can enter the fuel line if the additive reservoir
should inadvertently be allowed to empty. Valve accuracy is protected from excessive
